French Book Fairs + Fundraising
Congratulations to Bonjour Books DC on celebrating 10 incredible years!
At the Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School, the only elementary-level public school in Washington, DC with a French language immersion program, Bonjour Books DC has been an invaluable partner. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting numerous book fairs for our students and families, made even more special by Bonjour Books DC's thoughtful selection of materials. Jennifer has been an absolute delight to work with—her dedication and understanding of the needs of immersion schools have truly set Bonjour Books apart.
Independent bookstores like Bonjour Books DC are valuable allies for immersion schools and language programs. Through partnerships like ours, bookstores provide curated book fairs and classroom resources that align with specific linguistic and cultural goals. These collaborations are a win-win for everyone—students gain access to engaging, appropriate materials, educators receive essential support to foster a love of language, and bookstores strengthen community ties while promoting the importance of language education. Additionally, these events help raise funds for schools while providing bookstores with well-deserved sales and exposure to new customers.
In essence, independent bookstores are more than just places to buy books—they are hubs of inspiration, learning, and cultural exchange that empower language learners to thrive.
We are so grateful for our ongoing partnership with Bonjour Books and look forward to many more years of collaboration.
Félicitations et merci!

We had a fantastic experience working with Bonjour Books on our spring book fair. Jennifer was knowledgeable, organized and above all, listened to what we wanted to offer at our event. She absolutely went above and beyond with the materials she brought and our families were thrilled! We are looking forward to partnering with Bonjour Books again!
