Francophonie DC Cultural Festival

The D.C. Francophonie Festival celebrates the diversity and richness of the French language and Francophone communities around the world through a series of cultural events and outreach programs presented every March in the U.S. capital region.

There are several virtual events planned for this year. and we have coordinated where possible to have works of the participating authors' books available here at Bonjour Books DC. Please see several already in stock below, and look for more in the coming days and weeks!

Don't miss the March 1 Inauguration of the festival with Leïla Slimani, personal representative of the French president Emmanuel Macron for Francophonie and Prix Goncourt winner! Organized by the French Embassy.

Francophonie @Bonjour Books DC

We try to represent the diversity of Francophone voices on our bookshelves. Be sure to view our selection of hundreds of works for both adults and children by Francophone authors, including our talented local authors

In addition, we are preparing a special display in our window featuring works from dozens of authors all over the world. Stop by sometime in March to have a look!

Black Voices Matter. We have made a special effort over the past year to seek out Black voices from France and around the world in literature for both adults and children
