Description:
Summary:
On Friday, August 12, 2022, at the end of a glittering valley in the Bolzano province, a couple—liberated from all constraints, free to follow the joy of the trails, savor the happiness of the moment, and play with time—soars into the sky, one after the other, in paragliders.
This couple, Cédric and Mathilde, are passionate mountaineers who have leapt into the pure mountain air countless times. What could have warned them that day? On the fateful moment, Cédric turns—and Mathilde is gone. Where is she? Where has this star, with her “unbreakable” laughter, fallen? Is she alive? And if so, how, in the desperate race that brings Cédric to the site of her fall, did she survive?
Told in suspenseful scenes shuffled around the dramatic chronology of that day, this gripping narrative is a hymn to love, the drive to live, and the memory of a painstaking reconstruction that unfolds over months. Miraculously, Mathilde survives—but she must relearn everything. A blank page soaked in love, upon which the story of starting over is written: a broken body, spiraling amnesia, desires, laughter, and tears.
