Journées des Libraires Francophones: A Global Gathering in Paris

What an incredible week in Paris for the Journées des Libraires Francophones and the Festival du Livre!
It was a true global gathering organized by the CNL, France Livre, and the AILF. I felt so privileged to hear from legendary publishing houses like Actes Sud and Gallimard about their upcoming lineups and to meet literary superstars like Rachid Benzine, Bernard Minier, Didier Decoin, Jérôme Ferrari, Hemley Boum, and Lilia Hassaine.
I was honored to represent the Americas alongside Julieta Salgado from Mexico City and our colleagues from Bogotá and São Paulo. 🌍🤝
The best part, though, was bringing all that energy back home. Hosting our Sunday Book Club to discuss Camus’s Le Premier Homme was the perfect homecoming. A huge thank you to Melissa and Sabrina for holding down the fort while I was away! 🏠☀️📚
Next stop: Dakar! 🇸🇳🗼
