Congratulations to Gary Zuercher on the opening today of his "Les Ponts de Paris la nuit » exhibit at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris! Through November 30 a selection of 24 exquisite photos from Gary's award-winning book, The Glow of Paris-- in which he captured all the bridges of Paris in their nighttime splendor--will be mounted on the beautiful wrought iron fences of the Hôtel de Ville for all of Paris to admire!
If you are lucky enough to be in Paris over the next few weeks, don't miss it! Otherwise, make sure to stop by Bonjour Books DC and take a virtual stroll down the Rue de Rivoli and the exhibit by leafing through the pages of The Glow of Paris book! We have it in English and French, as well as a gorgeous 2024 calendar containing its most stunning photos, available to purchase at the store and on www.bonjourbooksdc.com (search for 'zuercher')
Also, stay tuned for on-location photos from Gary and our very own Melissa Fast who will be there for the opening ceremony tomorrow!
"Zuercher’s book, with its stunning black and white photos in the Ansel Adams tradition with stories about Paris’ legendary bridges, is a real gem. Shooting in the large-format film tradition, the photographer brings to life the city’s storied bridges. “I thought this would be a one-year project” says Zuercher. “In fact, it took more than five years to complete. And in reality it may never end because there is always another inspiring view to be found and photographed.” -- Paris Voice
