This is an excellently written, expertly researched biography of Kamala Harris. In addition to detailed coverage of her political career starting as San Francisco DA and then Attorney General of California, I appreciated the detail about her early life, all the way from her parents' upbringing and education and civil rights activism at UC Berkley.  The author also covers Harris's middle and high school years in a multicultural neighborhood in Montreal as well as her time as an undergraduate at Howard University -- all significant to understanding who she is and the importance of her networks in her life and career.  Highly...
